As of today, these E1 window/door sensors per Aqara will not work outside China. To quote Aqara Tech support, "The Door and window sensor you have is the E1 version, the E1 version door sensor in the China version hasn't been released to the overseas market. ​That is the reason can't connect to your HUb M2." So, even though the M2 hub supports Zigbee 3.0, the profiles to support these sensors are not there yet. Thus, they are not working (yet, hopefully).

    this is definitely not your fault. Basically Xiaomi/Aqara IS NOT following the Zigbee standard with this devices. Furthermore this devices are NOT certified by the Zigbee Alliance.

    Also the included batteries are not very good. It seems that Xiaomi/Aqara wants to save money and fool the customer.
